A Departmental spokesperson said “The cost of fishing licences for 2011 will remain the same as previous years. Fishing permits will show a modest increase in line with inflation and will include the new VAT rate of 20%. With over 60 waters in the Public Angling Estate, fishing permits represent very good value for money for anglers. There are a range of loughs, rivers and canals to choose from across Northern Ireland which offer game and coarse fishing, with many of the game waters being regularly stocked with takeable fish throughout the angling season
